@w3cdevs When do you think you can update the CSS validator so that it doesn't point out custom properties as errors? while we're at it, why are data-attributes classified as something bad?

sorry there is no clear answer on "when" as of today - as you may have seen, this has been discussed on github as part of github.com/w3c/css-validator… but the right solution has not been identified yet; likely a first step will be to ignore them rather than mark them as errors…
