Today opens the voting period for five W3C Advisory Board seats. The @w3c membership elects the @W3CAB members. The deadline for votes is 30 May 2018 and the results will be announced during the first week of June.

The @w3c XQuery Working Group was first chartered in September 1999 (then as XML Query) - over nearly 19 years, produced 39 technical reports, including 21 (!) W3C Recommendations, i.e. 5% of all W3C Recommendations. w3.org/XML/Query/#specs Hats 🎩👒off! 🙏

But this also includes new work on extensions to WebRTC 1.0, to cover new use cases, possibly new protocols for data transfer (#QUIC?), new modes of operations (in workers? service workers?), and less SDP

Right now, the draft new charter is setting the group to finish its ongoing work, look at bringing low-level APIs to get rid of the dependency on SDP (if you don't know what that is, DO NOT ASK, DO NOT LOOK IT UP 🙈🙉🙊), and explore new foundations for P2P data channels.
