I wish automatic captions without editing were that accurate! --especially with accents. I went through it and did find a mistake at 0:58. I've added to our list to fix. For comments, better than Twitter is to e-mail issues to wai@w3.org Thanks! ~Shawna

Correct, ISO/IEC 40500:2012 is WCAG 2.0. WCAG 2.1 is adopted in EN 301 549 “Accessibility requirements for ICT products and services”. ISO of WCAG 2.1 or 2.2 not planned any time soon. WCAG 2.2 is still a few months away from being finalized at W3C. w3.org/WAI/standards-guideli…

Here’s a W3C WAI resource on media players: w3.org/WAI/media/av/player/ If you have suggestions for edits or clarifications, it would really help if you would share them via GitHub or e-mail. Links are near the bottom of the page under “Help improve this page”. Thanks! ~Shawn

Looks like the phrase was in an early draft from the Cognitive and Learning Disabilities Task Force, which includes several people with cognitive disabilities. I did not find it in recent drafts. We welcome input, preferably via GitHub or e-mail. ~Shawn

Editor’s Drafts do not imply consensus of a Working Group and have no official standing. (they’re usually at w3c.github.io) See: How WAI Develops Accessibility Standards through the W3C Process: Milestones and Opportunities to Contribute w3.org/WAI/standards-guideli…

Pushed into 2021, as updated here: w3.org/WAI/standards-guideli… fyi, milestones: w3.org/WAI/standards-guideli… August publication was “wide review” (w3.org/WAI/news/2020-08-11/w…). Next could be another “wide review” (rather than advance to Candidate Recommendation).
