Spotify charges you to listen to music, and now they want to charge artists for the *chance* to be listened to, even by their own fans. They strip the only selling points they have, their supposed "discoverability", in order to charge artists for them. it's absolutely fucked.

„ Innerhalb von weniger als 48h hatte ich das offizielle Kompetenzzentrum Open Data auf Twitter überholt“. Und natürlich werden jetzt rechtliche Schritte dagegen geprüft.
Ich habe mit @bund_dev vor zwei Wochen eine API-Plattform für die (aber nicht der) Bundesverwaltung gebaut.

I agree they’re not doing it now, but the problem, as @gruber points out, is the slippery slope once you start enabling content checks on a client device that’s supposed to do actual reliable E2E encryption
