We’re slowly going from the truth is on the blockchain to the truth is whatever OpenSea lists. Web3 is doing a speed run through how the Web 2.0 era centralized around FAANG. google.com/amp/s/beincrypto.

@wordfeud I am frustrated that I can’t play three separate, definitely valid words, each of them connected to an existing tile. This should work, right?

"The main point I want to make is that you, dear reader, are almost certainly in the top category of computer skills, level 3. In the United States, only 5% of the population has these high computer skills. 95% of the population cannot do these things."

A minor thing but we used to give and receive music as gifts - albums then CDs or mix tapes. It was personal and sweet. I have so much great music that I remember exactly who gave me what. Streaming is certainly less wasteful of plastic, etc, but I miss the gift of music.

Buying 1 (one) record with your monthly allowance and listening to it so often that you could sing along with every word and eventually every instrument’s notes

No expectation of being in touch with anyone more often than once a week for them not to worry

That sounds OK, if viewed in isolation, doesn’t it? Sadly, my guess is probably 95% of songs made less than a 100 dollars

Great article about her and IBM‘s extremely late apology: forbes.com/sites/jeremyalica

No question it’s massively overhyped and applied to problems it’s clearly unsuited for, of course

I agree the use cases are still not convincing after all this time, but his assessment the tech doesn’t work and it’s all just a scam is still unjustified imo

It seems by sticking to Twitter’s web UI instead of the app, I miss some innovative new features. Highly recommended.

I love that multiple responses to these questions are that Twitter should treat OpenSea as the centralized source of truth about the validity of an NFT. The obvious next question is if this is just an API integration between OpenSea & Twitter, why even bother with blockchains?

But I thought the code is the law! Yet another story of a token scam, one that even experienced cryptocurrency folk missed even after they studied the smart contract.
A few hours ago, a promising token called $YEAR was airdropped. It was set up as a "year in review" of your Ethereum transaction history. Less than an hour ago, this turned into a painful experience for buyers of the token. Here's how $YEAR pulled the rug in under 6 hoursđŸ§” 1/
