Slack is an awesome way to hide information. A better way is Slack threads. The best way is Slack DMs. Just saying, if you want to make sure information dies a painful death, put it in Slack.

Hmm鈥鈥檝e always said that email is where information goes to die. So maybe Slack is where information goes to die *very quickly* ? ;-)

Email can be searched at least :)

Only by the sender and recipient though. I search though the company slack a lot to find past context and discussion for decisions that happened before I even started.

Not sure what you are using as email client but I can search my email just like Google ;) and it's super efficient and fast. For Slack also you need to pay to not lose the history.
