I believe the claims about Bitcoin’s energy consumption are greatly exaggerated, but even if they’re just a tenth of that, they’re troubling

No trying to defend bitcoin but it seems people forget the energy consumed to generate €/$ in a non-renewable energy economy.

That is my standard argument when I defend Bitcoin. I’m still having a hard time defending *this* level of consumption
