I'll bite, how is it not? This is the whole point of HTTP GET.

HTTP is a very bad choice as a protocol for the lower layers of your application, e.g. as a JDBC replacement :)

In a sense I agree, in another I don't... some underlying db protocols are more efficient than HTTP
