what really matters about #REST's statelessness is that it forces you to represent state as a shareable resource, if you want to use state.

. @dret @stilkov what do you mean by sharable? If merely shared, then RPC frontend to a DBcan also claim the same. Did you mean portable?

Think of your shopping cart as something that would benefit from having a URI because you can send your spouse a link to it

and if you don't have a universal identifier for the cart (the shopping state), there's no way you can share it. #API

.@stilkov @dret o/c. Point is that naive sharing introduces contention. URI sharing sans capability model is scalability bottleneck. .
