@tim_yates States are born from our own tribal wiring. Thus we make ourselves better or worse, country has not much to do with it.

I think he meant country as in "arbitrary governmental region" ;-)

I’m not sure it matters. The same (human instinct) is true of our choice of government etc.

I whole-heartedly agree that no country is inherently “better” than any other. (Current) governments differ, though.

Yes, e.g. in terms of their respect for human rights, their use of violence, their resistance to corruption.
