Using a fancy JS framework can be perfectly fine, but you should be sure you know how to build a classic web app without one first

I wonder if in a few years any new web dev will even know how we used to do stuff with plain form submits and such :D

I'm teaching my daughter to build a game in Google App Engine and that's exactly how we're doing it. 100% python.
