@jboner With all due respect, “synchronous REST over HTTP as a communication protocol” is a terminology disaster :-)

@stilkov I know it's a simplification. But that's how most people think about it. Just trying to make them rethink their defaults.
1
@stilkov How do you suggest I should explain it?
2
@jboner “synchronous HTTP as a communication protocol” would be better, even though what I really think you’re criticizing is “naïve RPC”
1
@stilkov I'm criticizing "traditional" sync RPC. The prob is that REST is often used that way—wrongly. There is nothing wrong w/ REST per-se

@stilkov Changed the post now. Thanks.

@jboner Great! Thanks. Now I can disagree on a different level ;-)

@stilkov You never give up do you? Too old and stubborn? ;-)

@jboner Yes, and even worse: not even sorry about it ;-)
1
@stilkov Being old and grumpy has its benefits :-)

@stilkov Definitely, and I'm proud of it. Took me +40 years to get to my level of grumpiness :-)
