@simkoelsch Most emacs user told me to use the graphical mode and not to launch it from terminal ;-)

@stilkov @michaelvitz the real reason is I don't want to deal with patched terminal fonts for proper icons and stuff ;-)

@simkoelsch @michaelvitz Using the GUI version is perfectly reasonable, just disable all the GUI crap ;-)

@stilkov @simkoelsch I don't use the mouse or menu bar and after being laughed out by a colleague of us I disabled the menu bar :-)
