@stilkov absolutely no reason to confuse bigotry against Muslims & criticism of fundamental Islam. Former is despicable, the latter is not.

@zeevs I completely agree. All religions merit being criticized.

@stilkov @zeevs They are all wrong in the sense of truthiness. But they are not equally dangerous.

@codeblogger @zeevs How so? They’ve all managed to create murderous zealots at different times.

@stilkov That doctrine is fundamental Islam. @codeblogger

@zeevs @stilkov But that's what we see. Fundamental Islam with ISIS and Saudi Arabia.
1
@codeblogger @zeevs everyone agrees that ISIS sucks, The Saudis are our accepted allies. Focus on that, not the other billion Muslims.
2
@stilkov we’re not focusing on 1.6bn Muslims. But you can’t focus on ISIS without understanding where it comes from. @codeblogger
4
@zeevs @codeblogger but don’thou see that every time you talk about Islam in general, you *are* talking about 1.6bn people?
2
@stilkov That’s not true. Islam has some horrible elements in it. It’s a fact. Most of the 1.6bn Muslims don’t follow them. @codeblogger

@stilkov not really. In Judaism - most of the horrible stuff is *officially* removed. Official interpretations. @codeblogger

@zeevs @codeblogger I have to trust you, don’t know much about it. I do know there’s lots of completely crazy stuff in the bible.

@stilkov for thousands of years. If there was “fundamental Judaism”, picking eyes for eyes and stoning gays - you’d be right. @codeblogger

@stilkov @zeevs We could easily improve Islam and Christianity right here in this debate. Change the fundamental texts. Oh well...
