@adambien I assume that starting Nashorn uses up quite a few resources. Probably much more efficient to just parse the JSON in Java.

@adambien I've been burned by Jython, which seems to grab roughly 25MB on the heap before doing anything useful… Hence the skepticism.

@h_schreiber Surely @adambien did not intend this a serious suggestion, more as a tongue-in-cheek proof of concept.
