GraphQL is much better than a bad REST API (the kind that doesn’t merit the name). A real REST API is on a completely different layer.

@stilkov My impression is that GraphQL is easier to implement than a 'real' REST API for most developers. What do you think?

@rob_knight Yes, probably. Yet I claim that’s because it does a lot less.
