so yeah, I think you simplified it heavily. People rely on monetisation. There’s also nothing wrong with that.

Of course there isn’t. But it’s naïve to expect people won’t avoid ads if they can, and there is nothing unethical about it.

e.g. you assume it’s okay because you don’t interact with certain ads? They don’t require you to. CPM is often based on “view”.
