Very much depends on your requirements, doesn’t it? (I wouldn’t choose, it for sure, but I won’t say you can’t use it.)

Not to mention, a system that can make leader election compete for hours being your base for service(s) wide configuration is odd.

The description indicates that Mongo is a CP system. It does infact attempt to be one, but it doesn't deliver those guarantees.

I was being sloppy and thinking of traditional relational DBs such as Oracle, which have a pretty good consistency track record
