@samruby I made a concrete proposal in the original report. What you are waiting for is a patch. The editor is supposed to propose patches.

@fielding The HTML editor team believes that that the spec reflects the correct approach. Still waiting for somebody to prove them wrong.

@samruby I’m not following this closely, but the mere idea of obsoleting the URI RFCs with a WHATWG spec strikes me as unfixably wrong.
