People who bash EDI are clueless. The majority of B2B is EDI. EDI syntax isn't sexy, but it works (EDI metadata is still VERY useful)

EDI/EDIFACT isn’t just unsexy, it’s a really bad format. Plus, I can’t recall “many people use it” ever being a good argument

Who cares about an ugly format if it works? EDI/REST/WS/etc are all just plumbing, not the value.

"many people use it" is excellent argument for B2B since you're unaware of partners' implementations/capabilities/etc
