Overall, the world political situation is objectively much better than it was 20 years ago, yet I can’t recall feeling so frustrated then

@nslater It seems to me that those who are supposed to be the good guys do so much evil, and nobody gives a fuck
@stilkov 20 years ago ('94), there was a big darkness just ended (cold war); now, there's clear promise which makes stupidity frustrating
@stilkov I don't think we'd hear anywhere near as much about these things if (a) there was no Internet, and (b) the cold war was still going
@stilkov I agree though - between Ukraine, Gaza, US foreign policy, Ebola, China vs all its neighbours, Syria/Iraq, Egypt, and Libya; bleh.
