I am somewhat confused as to my own motives, but I’m finding it very hard to come to terms with the idea that everything should be SSL.

@stilkov what about a lesser constraint that everything should be signed if not encrypted?

@sshishkin I could live with that much more easily. Not going to happen any time soon, though (with HTTP, that is).

@oakinger It just feels wrong to me to encrypt information that’s supposed to be as widely available as possible. Think of e.g. Wikipedia.

@stilkov it feels to me it discards one of the great architectural achievements of HTTP, the ability to have transparent proxies & caches.
@stilkov It’s hard to come to term with the idea that every letter should be put into an envelope and sealed. It’s much less convenient
