All those who occasionally use the OS X minimize feature: What benefit does it have over hiding an app using ⌘-H?

minimizing is per window, isn’t it? But I don’t use it either…

Conceptional difference: It hides the app, but „Minimize“ works for windows. In OSX that’s really not the same (apps w/o windows).

Use minimize or ⌘-M to hide only current window. ⌘-H will hide all windows of the application.

the behavior on moving the focus to the app is diff. Hidden + focus -> active; Min + focus -> nothing

Cmd-H hides the whole app, Cmd-M allows me to use the app and only move some of the windows out of my way.
