JRuby has been a parallel, jitted, high-perf impl of Ruby with a parallel + concurrent GC for years. Hard to believe people don't know.

@andrewjgrimm It is JRuby's lot in life; we have solved so many problems, but the fact that there's a J involved means we are ignored.

@headius is the Ruby community really that narrow-minded? Actually, I can't say for sure that we aren't. :(

@andrewjgrimm It has improved…but I think a lot of people like other impls solely because they're *not* JRuby.
