Of the ~60 people attending my talk yesterday, exactly 0 were women. Whatever one thinks the reason is, how can this not be totally wrong?

@stilkov dunno. i think we just have to accept the fact that most women are not attracted by c.s. as well as they are not attr. by tractors

@stilkov watched my kids grow up, a boy and a girl. without influencing them they had completely different interests since they could walk

@ufried I have a boy and a girl, too. I don't for a second believe they're not treated differently, in more or less subtle ways.

@stilkov dunno. my boy stopped for every truck, tractor, etc. he saw. my girl didn't even care if we showed her. it's not only education...

@ufried Same here. Anecdotal evidence, counts for nothing. But women, in general, are not more or less interested in math or logic than men
