@tastapod All those antique technologies like RSS, XMPP, SMTP, IMAP, WebDAV … who needs them if we have Google's cloud services, right? :-)

@stilkov Of course! Single-vendor de facto standards are much more efficient than silly old committees. And so easy (for them) to change!

@stilkov I was surprised by XMPP going, but was anyone else using it (apart from the 12 jabber users)? I doubt they'll drop mail standards.

@stilkov If they do I'll be moving out. As I'm sure will lots of people using Gmail as a backend through Outlook or Thunderbird.
