@jessitron Why would an *actual* meritocracy ever be or have been an antipattern? Isn't this what we all strive for?

@stilkov @jessitron I'd suspect that you'd need to be able to find an objective measure of "merit" first, which could be problematic.

@stilkov @jessitron the merit in meritocracy stands for “I approve”, so it often reinforces biases like privilege, sexism, agism etc
