We can/should discuss how companies are able to provide reliable, secure and privacy respecting services. Self hosting is not a solution.

@halfbyte Agreed. The fact that the choice is either self-hosting or US-style non-privacy is very disturbing.

@stilkov I have long decided to go the self hosting route. I live with the consequences. I think the trade offs are worth it /cc @halfbyte

@jcfischer @stilkov They are definitely not worth it for me. And they are hardly worth it or even impossible for non tech people.
