totally agree. s/architects/programmer/ = same thought. unfortunately 90% of them suck - which also applies to both roles

I'm curious: is it harder to get an 'architect' title in Germany, and what happens if you have it and are terrible.

in the US, it's easy to get, and if you're terrible, you're likely to use it to get an ever better job - that you're terrible at.
