GDPR has been costly to businesses & user experience but the real tragedy is that it was designed to harm big tech without considering that with their money & resources it was easier for them to comply than random businesses.
Now EU just passes anti-big tech laws like DMA & DSA.
GDPR is a rare example to a terrible solution to a problem nobody really had or cared about, that ended up making everything far far worse.
And yet, have never herd of anyone trying to undo it.

Can you explain how CCPA is different? Or is it similarly misguided in your opinion? Seems to be roughly the same thing (and I like it for exactly the same reasons)
