Asked a question of "which to learn first C or C++" I said "C as C++ is a superset of C" but I am honestly unsure about this and do not have personal experience. Learning C also teaches bad habits when working in a C++ environment. What do you think?

As a former C++ programmer (although that was a long time ago), my advice would be to yes, absolutely learn C, but don’t use it for anything that’s intended for production. (And skip C++.)
