I am afraid I don't see how I am supposed to submit to conferences that are in-person with no remote option when the number of new infections is at an all-time high. 🤷‍♂️

Even if the conference were, say, in August? I don’t think anyone can make predictions about that yet, and it would be the organizer’s problem, not yours?

I have been in a situation where the organizers insisted on in-person even though a few colleagues and me even offered to help with remote infrastructure and chat. Then it is my problem: Either accept the health risk or disappoint attendees. Luckily, that conference was cancelled

Best to only accept things where at least you as a speaker can be remote, then, I guess
