I find this to be some of the most damning criticism of the whole web3 idea because it’s clear @moxie is approaching it with an open mind

I guess he’s right there. Everyone running the blockchain on their computer or phone is totally inefficient plus super inconvenient. If you trust now entities like opensea there is also a better mechanism for storing information… A database

Yes. Even better when you can trust that some central service will take good care of your private key
