Some thoughts on the “Case Against Crypto” Claim: The technology does not solve a real problem. Thoughts: It’s been 13 years of blockchains and what we’ve mostly seen are new forms of speculative assets (NFTs, ICOs) or ways to avoid government regulation (DAOs & tokens).

This is the most basic argument against crypto that I tell all the people who call me. The tech doesn't work, and the fundamental idea is ahistorical and flawed. Writing it down so I don't have to repeat myself all the time. The Case Against Crypto stephendiehl.com/blog/agains…

I agree the use cases are still not convincing after all this time, but his assessment the tech doesn’t work and it’s all just a scam is still unjustified imo

It doesn’t work in the sense that it’s not fit for purpose. These purposes. Eventually someone will find a legit use for it. But, the more it’s hyped now as a cryptocurrency scam, the less likely people are to believe that legit useful case when it arrives.
