Quote tweeting is one of the worst design changes Twitter made I think. It's like we have "reply" and "pompous reply" as your options.

The UX problem hidden in the dunk interface is that sometimes I want to reply to something great a person said, but have my followers see it.

reply and then retweet the answer.
