"forget I did" -> no, it's on all day, 24x7. I will turn it off if I'm expecting a call. I also do not allow notifications in iOS, slack, a browser. For me, it's part ADAH, but mostly 99.999997% of those notifications are of net negative value.

Maybe it should be called “Disturb mode” and you should have to switch it on explicitly

I had an office meeting today after almost 3 months of mobile office. H-o-r-r-i-b-l-e! 2hrs Meeting, 6hrs people popping into the office just to say "hi and while we are at it, can you comment on ...". Needless to say i am frigthend to return to "normal office" mode anytime soon.

Turning off video and muting yourself *is* more polite than just walking out of a room or closing the door in someone’s face, agreed

Alerts were a mistake.

Also don’t forget to “forget” to turn off the out of office email when you return from vacation.

Two years ago I accidentally left it on for a week and noticed how less stressed I was. It's stayed on ever since.
