First time I’ve played with #rustlang. What a nice and well thought-out language, with positively the best error messages I’ve seen anywhere so far

I’ve only played with Elm very briefly, but they seem to be at least as good AFAICT

It's addictive - especially futures and async (tokio) are brilliant - futures do not even have runtime heap allocations - enjoy!

It is reassuring to hear this from someone whose opinion and advice I really appreciate. After a long history of C/C++ I experience Rust as a major step forward in systems programming and beyond. Looking into the rear-view mirror always makes me shudder ;)

Yes I challenged myself to learn it, but had not enough systems programming needs. But still interested and BTW much more than in to golang

Unfortunately, very many keywords in the syntax. And why the semicolon :)?

You might like #Elixir as well.

I hope they will soon be able to cross-compile in a way that is compatible to the GNU-world. Using it on OpenWRT is... well it requires extraordinary effort. ;-)
