Serious question: what else but the interface / implementation principle inflated to an „architecture“ with a name that’s totally unrelated is „hexagonal architecture“? What am I missing? 🤔

But how is it an alternative? It’s layers in the shape of a hexagon. The only subtle difference, speaking in layering terms, is that there are domain driven interfaces for ports in the business logic layer. That‘s nothing really making this an alternative.

That’s an overgeneralization of one particular (and not very good) layered architecture
