No matter how cool your service is, if it sends me email notifications, it needs an unsubscribe option that requires at most one extra click. Sending me to some “notification preferences page” that requires a login is a dark pattern.

I once subscribed to Japanese newsletter for vegans while I was in Tokyo (they offered a voucher and I was cheap back then). This was 3.5 years ago, I still don't know how to unsubscribe. 🥲
