Look at that, HTML rendered on the server. Who knew that might be a an option? (I’m just kidding, this looks quite nice. Most apps are better rendered on the server, of course, and that’s been true for a few decades and still continues to be)
Hotwire aka NEW MAGIC is finally here: An alternative approach to building modern web applications without using much JavaScript by sending HTML instead of JSON over the wire. This includes our brand-new Turbo framework and pairs with Stimulus 2.0 😍🎉🥂 hotwire.dev

HTML-Fragmente am Server rendern und am Client in den DOM hängen, ist das nicht die Grundidee von ROCA? roca-style.org/

The biggest innovation of hotwire is probably its framework agnostic approach. Just take any stateless web application with server side rendered HTML and enhance it with hotwire. Even the streaming part is just few lines of glue code 🎉.

If i have an REST API does it make sense to do SSR? One architect proposed this as a solution in my previous job. Thought it was a waste, cause you could consume the REST API right in the frontend. No need for the network call on the backend.

Cool - Never thought that all the Know-how from doing JSP and Servlets almost 20 years ago will be cool again! Time for the new Struts! Actually kinda really missed serverside rendering the last years... #Revival #backtotheroots 🤓🤣

Idk. Even after a second reading what svelte/sapper does remains better than this. Maybe I need to build something in both to compare the experience.
