I liked Turbo Pascal IDE a lot. Later on I used Microsoft Visual C++ and Borland C++

Me too, but unless I remember wrongly, that came out a bit later. I don鈥檛 think I ever loved an IDE as much as the text-based Turbo Pascal

Agreed, the visual C++ based IDEs were the first Windows-based IDEs I have used and came years later. The text-based Turbo Pascal 1.0 IDE was cool due to its ultrafast compilation. And I was happy to use it instead of the expensive Microsoft Pascal command line tools.
