Preach. I'd rather have colleagues I can depend on and a stable, focused environment, than some savant that is not able to cooperate, but is acknowledged as some mystical 10x engineer. Software is teamwork.

The article quotes a study on 12!!!! programmers in 1969!!!! I am not completely sure how to take anything else seriously in it. I wonder if that is the real source of the term "rockstars" in software engineering.
