While I get the sentiment, I also had "trump" on mute for a while, it is also a sign of enormous privilege to be able to care about these elections. Like I did not want to care in '16, but the (broken) prospect of a woman president touched me so personally I could not not watch

And as much the Internet sometimes seems as if the only country in the world that exists is the US, unfortunately what happens there impacts many people around the world, including us most likely.
