Kudos for the domain insight. I’m sure in five years or so, they’ll discover applying the layer concept on this level is a bad idea, too.

“The critical insight of DOMA is that a microservice architecture is really just one, large, distributed program” - that sounds like a distributed big ball of mud, rather than the vision of msvcs architecture that I have, where individual components are more autonomous.

Reading this I'm constantly wondering what and why and how could they even? This seems to be arbitrarily complex and I wonder what the actual inherent necessary complexity is? RPC all over the place. Microservices that are in-process like a library!? 50% service churn per 1.5y?
