Maybe we can generalize to “custom keyboard”? I’d need one because I’m a Neo2 user. Haven’t seen a way yet

hmm, never thought about that actually as I’m on the English International layout for over 10 years now. I use Option+u + {aeiou} for the 🇩🇪-Umlauts which works very well for me.
