Other than scs-architecture.org/links.h… not really, maybe @stilkov can help. Sadly I'm not an expert on scs (yet).
The join problem can only be solved by duplication in my opinion, so the challenge is to find the "right" size for each service

If two entities are so closely related you need to join them on the database level, they should not be in separate services or systems. If you can’t find loosely coupled, cohesive “islands”, a service architecture might not be for you
