My take: From a GDPR point of view, there’s no way to tell without knowing what they actually do with the data. If they don’t store anything, I fail to see how it would be a violation. Doesn’t mean it’s OK, though.

if they don't store/use the information of the scan, I guess they don't have to scan in the first place. So I guess it is not ok. For me, these scans are not acceptable and I whish it wasn't possible.
