We’re ending free movement to open Britain up to the world. It will ensure people can come to our country based on what they have to offer, not where they come from.

Nuance: Earliest S. asians settled predominantly in the north, urban and working class. Left wing. Patel's fam is from "twice immigrants," mercantile S. asians evicted from E. Africa. Encouraged by Thatcher, settled in the south. Right wing.
