There are fewer non smart TV these days, but my dad stumbled upon a Samsung Tizer OS TV because it’s on sale around 3 years ago too and admittedly although it’s hooked to the internet it isn’t very smart at all, as I can’t even download any more android apps on it!

Well true LOL, but one of the HDMI connects to an IPTV service and the other set top box (yes we use set top box at home even for digital terrestrial because reasons lol) also connected to the internet for bonus service so, not much of a difference is it

Probably true. I have an AppleTV that I trust not to do too many shitty things, or open up whole new attack vectors, and I use it for 100% of my TV needs. The itself TV stays disconnected
