Unsure how running or biking outside alone poses a risk?

We are in complete lockdown in Spain, running or biking outside is forbidden.

I expect the same regulation in Bavaria in a few days to be honest.

It'd be a shame, though. People doing sports outside (alone!) is highly beneficial. Everyone not doing any activity and just sitting at home will be a huge problem by itself.

I agree, but even with the current ban there are a lot of people on the street, could not imagine if they allow everyone "to exercise". Also hospitals would not be able to assist you in case of injuries.

+1 Never saw so many "runners" since the lockdown and can't wait for the ban before they congest the hospitals because they need "to exercise" ... #stayhome

Wow, so people pretend to exercise but actually hang out in groups? If so, that's f$cked up indeed :(

The problem I see is that we're giving up *fundamental* rights here without thinking twice, apparently because there are some f$ckwits out there, who don't get their act together. I have really no good feeling about this.

Well not running outside for a few weeks in order to not spread the virus and keep the hospitals’ capacity for people that need it is not giving up a fundamental right IMHO

It is *of course* giving up a fundamental right. Doesn’t mean it’s not OK if it indeed helps to stop the virus from spreading.

I will comply with rules. I’m still annoyed that an activity that’s not a problem (a run or walk alone) gets banned because people are too dumb to stop those activities that are (like meeting groups outside). But if that’s what it takes, so what

I am also well aware that I’m very privileged in that I have a house with enough room, and a garden, and even some exercise equipment. It’s surely *a lot* harder for most people

Very much this, Stefan 👍 I do think and hope our democracy will live through this.

It is truly annoying how stupid/ ignorant some folks are.
